In the last two years Culligan realised an important water treatment plant in Rwanda, in Nzove area, part of the Capital City Kigali, with a flow rate of 105,000 m3/day.
The main problem of Kigali water is that Nyabarongo River has high contents of iron and manganese besides high turbidity and suspended solides.
To solve Kigali problems, Culligan realised a designed process with OFSY 480 Filtration units, upgraded and modified so as to treat iron and manganese content and to be able to give a turbidity less than 1 NTU.
Due to high water demand, the first phase of the project was completed within 6 months and inaugurated in 2016. The second phase is expected to be inaugurated by the end of July 2017.
